More Information on the BCNM Masters Degree

Robert Morris University offers a Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management taught by faculty from the School of Business and Practitioners from the nonprofit sector. This partnership is further strengthened by the expertise and resources of RMU's Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management.

The Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management is designed for the working nonprofic professional who wants to develop additional management skills and further his or her knowledge of the sector.

The program is built around a cohort model where students develop skills together over a two-year curriculum that emphasizes practical application of knowledge and research.

Advancement of knowledge of the sector is a key component of the MSNM Program. In the first year students choose research topics of interest to them and of relevance to the field.

The collaborative relationship between the MS program and the Bayer Center is an innovation that provides additional dimensions to the student's educational experience.

The first graduates of the Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management program from Robert Morris University developed a website to inspire and inform those who work and/or volunteer for nonprofits within the Pittsburgh region and beyond. Cohort one believes in sound business practice for nonprofit organizations and have a commitment to research but more importantly practical implementation of sound business practice in the organizations that we serve.
