Since 1991, men and women of talent have volunteered through the Western Pennsylvania affiliate of Executive Service Corps, a national program that encourages retired and employed professionals to engage in their communities by lending their private sector skills & expertise to help nonprofit organizations thrive.

In July 2004, the local ESC program became a part of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management. Through ESC, nonprofit organizations can access individuals with expertise on topics such as:

• Human Resources
• Facilities Management
• Organizational Development
• Strategic Planning
• Finance
• Technology

Volunteers also serve as executive coaches through our Executive Advisory Program and facilitators for our peer mentoring Leaders Circle program.

ESC also operates a Legal Program, linking attorneys interested in volunteer opportunities with nonprofit organizations in need of their counsel.
