TechNow, the Pittsburgh region’s annual technology conference for nonprofits, provides a full day of learning, fellowship, networking, and fun for those with an interest or stake in their organization’s technology management. This exciting event will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Holiday Inn-Pittsburgh Intl. Airport in Moon Township, PA.
This year, we will be joined by blogger, author, speaker and nonprofit consultant, Rosetta Thurman. Rosetta grew up in the public housing projects of Cleveland, Ohio, and if it weren’t for the nonprofits in her community who helped her family in times of need, she doesn’t know where she would be today. Fueled by a passion for social change, Rosetta worked in the nonprofit community for eight years before founding Thurman Consulting, an education company specializing in personal and professional development to help nonprofit leaders and passionate entrepreneurs change the world. Rosetta plans to talk about how nonprofits can use "Social Media for Thought Leadership" during her keynote session.
In addition to the keynote, we will feature our usual array of breakout sessions to give you an opportunity to learn and ask questions. Breakout session tracks will include a Leadership track, a Techie track and a Marketing/Communications track, so there's something for everyone!
Once again, we will feature an "Exhibitor Area" where you can meet local technology vendors, discuss your issues and find solutions. Breakfast, snacks, and beverages will be provided throughout the day and, as usual, there will be some super prize give-aways! This year, we will add an Afternoon Reception to the conference, featuring a cash bar, ice cream cart and a brief product demonstration by our Presenting Sponsor, DonorPro by TowerCare Technologies.
