Professional Background- Pennsylvania State Director, PHI (2007-2011). Responsible for designing and managing workforce related quality of care initiatives with health care providers and other stakeholders across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Convened a series of 15 separate 3-day Educator Workshops on the 77-hour model Personal Care Services curriculum developed under contract for the PA Department of Labor and Industry. With support from the PA Department of Aging, led a regional demonstration using the model curriculum in Southwestern Pennsylvania involving 203 entry-level direct care workers from 14 aging and disability service agencies.

- Assistant Professor, Health Policy & Administration, Penn State University (2003-2005). Taught courses in managerial epidemiology and long-term care management and produced numerous peer-reviewed publications on quality of care outcomes in post-acute and long-term care settings.
