The M.S. in Taxation provides you with career flexibility like no other graduate degree. It will enhance your undergraduate skills, open new career paths and increase your earning potential. Professionals with tax credentials are in demand in the traditional tax planning and compliance areas, as well as in business consulting and financial planning. This unique degree is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in finance, accounting, law and business, but students with backgrounds in all areas can benefit from this program.

Program Format
To obtain the M.S. in Taxation degree, you must successfully complete 30 credits. Classes are run in four eight-week sessions per year on Saturdays in downtown Pittsburgh. Two courses are offered per session, from 8 a.m.- noon and 1 - 5 p.m.

The program begins in late August and continues for three consecutive sessions through February, when classes adjourn for 11 weeks to provide students a break during tax season. Classes resume in late May, when students return to complete the two remaining eight-week sessions by the end of October.

By taking two courses per eight-week session (one morning class and one afternoon class), you can complete the program in 14 months with about three months off for tax season. Students taking two courses in the first eight-week session and one course per session thereafter can finish in about 26 months with about three months off for tax season each year.
