INFS3170 - Cyberlaw Fall 2012 This course is designed to enable students, including but not limited to organizational studies, and information technology students, to concentrate on the legal issues and challenges that the changes in technology have created such as on-line contracting, computer crime, fraud, privacy, defamation, hate speech, indecency, obscenity, cyber- squatting, intellectual property etc. The goal is not to teach students to be lawyers, but rather to provide students the tools to be able to identify problems in the world arising from the ever increasing activity on-line. 3 Credits
