Course Descriptions for the Science Department

BIOL3310 - Animal Behavior Fall 2012 All animals, from simple invertebrates, to insects, to the most complex mammals, exhibit complex behaviors. This course will examine the basis of animal behaviors, including the neural basis and development of behavior and the ultimate causes of behaviors. An evolutionary approach will be followed throughout the course. Case studies and examples from the peer-reviewed literature will be used throughout the course. Prerequisite: ENVS2500 3 Credits
