Faculty - School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science

For the upcoming 2013-2014 academic year, Robert Morris Unviersity is recruiting for full-time faculty positions.  Under the leadership of President Gregory Dell'Omo and Provost David Jamison, the University is committed to continuing and enhancing the academic rigor of our programs. RMU enrolled the three largest incoming classes in its history the past three years, and the academic profile of our students continues to grow.

Robert Morris University's School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science is accepting applications for full-time faculty positions:

Assistant/Associate Professor - Mechanical Engineering. Candidates are sought in Mechanical Engineering with teaching and research interests in thermo-fluids, engineering mechanics, mechanics, system dynamics and controls, machine design, and computer-aided engineering and design. Candidates should expect to teach basic engineering courses and possess excellent experimental abilities along with appropriate analytical and computational skills. An earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required; industrial experience, a proven research record, and the ability to teach basic engineering courses are preferred.

Assistant/Associate Professor - General Engineering. Qualified candidates are sought in General Engineering with teaching and research interests in Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Design Graphics, Engineering Statistics, Engineering Materials, Statics and Strength of Materials, Circuits and Electromagnetics. These faculty members may also be expected to teach in biomedical, industrial/ manufacturing, and mechanical engineering programs. Excellent experimental abilities are necessary along with appropriate analytical and computational skills. An earned PhD in Engineering is required; industrial experience, a proven research record, and the ability to teach in multiple engineering courses listed above are preferred.
